Robyn Armstrong, outreach and programming librarian, started a seed saving program that allows individuals to check out some gardening seeds (flowers, vegetables, etc) to plant. In the fall, after harvest and seeds are dried/prepared, they can be returned or “checked in” to the library for the program to sustain itself in the spring again.
One activity connects with another: The library celebrated McCall in bloom with kids planting boots. 2013 Master Gardener Joni Morrison aptly hides in the very back of the photo on the right where kids show off their work. Joni will discuss seed saving on Thursday, August 22 at 7 pm at the McCall Library.
