What we do

UI Extension works with the people of Idaho to address agricultural, natural resource, youth, family, community and environmental issues. Collaborative relationships with countless agencies, groups, and individuals make possible a vast array of innovative educational programs.


4-H
4-H Youth Development

4-H prepares young people ages 5 to 18 to step up to the challenges in their community and the world. 4-H’ers get the hands-on, real-world experiences they need to become leaders.

Our program offers research and resources to assist beef producers on topics such as beef quality assurance, livestock health and bull grading.

Power County offers research-based information in the areas of cereal production, pasture/hay production, entomology and weed control.

Horticulture

Power County offers horticulture consulting in the areas of lawn and garden management. Classes in the areas of tree pruning, beekeeping, grafting apple trees, and garden irrigation management are also offered at various time during the year.
