What we do

UI Extension, Owyhee County, provides area citizens with research‐based information focusing on agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, nutrition and 4‐H youth development.

Agriculture, Livestock and Range

UI Extension, Owyhee County offers a variety of agriculture‐related educational programs. There are programs in beef cattle production, range and pasture management, and farm management. Educational programs include producer schools, seminars, workshops and tours. Applied research trials are also conducted to demonstrate the latest research findings to local agriculture producers. Programs are conducted by Extension Educator Scott Jensen.

4-H
4-H Youth Development

4‐H has been an active part of Owyhee County communities for many years. Youth who have participated in 4‐H have later become leaders and volunteers to help continue this rich tradition.
