Both the Kootenai/Shoshone 4-H Horse Camp & Equine Retreat will be held June 22-28. Horse Camp will be held along the Coeur d’ Alene River north of Kingston and Equine Retreat will be held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Sign-Ups for both events will begin on April 8th from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Kootenai County Extension Office. Registrations will be taken after that time, but it does help us to get a good start on processing all of the registrations if they come in during that initial sign-up event. This event is open to 4-H horse members and 4-H leaders of Kootenai/Shoshone and surrounding counties. If you know of someone in 4-H in another county that would like to join, feel free to invite them. Below are all of the forms you should need to answer your questions and get you registered.
Kootenai/Shoshone Souper Saturday – February 22 at Lakeland Sr. High School – Begins at 8:00 am
This is a great way for leaders to get up to 3 hours of training on a variety of topics. We will also have a Soup, Salad, Bread & Dessert contest for lunch. It’s much like a potluck with an element of competition thrown in. We are planning to be able to offer all of these classes, though the classes offered by the Panhandle Ambassadors may have to be canceled due to some of those youth having other obligations that day. We hope that everyone attending will be able to find something to help them learn and grow though! Souper Saturday 2014 schedule
