The Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station (IAES) is the research division of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and is responsible for the college’s statewide programming in agricultural research.
The station operates nine agricultural research and extension centers around the state and oversees their staffs. Federal and state funding administered by the station supports the salaries of college researchers—both faculty and technical support staff—and their research operations. In this way, every college faculty member who conducts research is affiliated with the station.
The station director has responsibility for maintaining the college’s research facilities and infrastructure and is accountable for all state and federal funds appropriated for agricultural research at the university.
