Summer is right around the corner!

Get ready for a fun-filled week of day camps! 

Blitz Week will be June 16-20 and will include several different activities including Advanced Sewing, Beginner/Intermediate Sewing, Cooking with Honey, Healthy Snacks and Physical Activities, as well as a variety of Science classes.

If you are signing up for both morning and afternoon classes be sure to pack a sack lunch.

Come to the Extension office to register for day camps and pay fees.

Spaces are limited. Please only sign up if your child will be able to attend all days of activities.

Schedule of Events


Monday-Thursday June 16-19, from 9 A.M.- Noon

at the Jack Hamilton Building

Advanced Sewing- Fleece Pullover Hoodie

To attend this camp you must be at least 12 years of age and have taking a prior sewing class from 4-H. Cost is $20.00

Limit 12 participants

We are ordering kits for this class so you must sign up by May 30th.

Up for the Challenge

This camp is focused on cooking healthy snacks as well as having fun while doing physical activity.

Children must have completed 3rd grade in order to attend this camp.

Cost is $5.00

Limited to 20 participants

Beginning/Intermediate Sewing- Pillowcases and Drawstring Bags

Cost is $20.00

“Bee” Wise with Honey

Learn all about cooking with honey, including several different recipes as well as fun facts about bees and honey.

Cost is $15.00

Bugs, Bots and Boundaries

Cost is $10.00

3 Days of Science fun, Learn all about bugs on Wednesday, Have fun with Robotics on Thursday, and learn how to work a GPS in our Geo-caching camp Friday.

Ethics Training

Tuesday May 20th 
Time: 7:00-8:00 P.M.
Location: Bonneville County Extension Office

All new livestock members are required to attend the Livestock Ethics training. The one-hour training will be held May 20th at 7:00 P.M. and June 17th at 7:00 P.M.

If members are unable to attend one of these training sessions they will not be permitted to sell their animals in the Market Animal Sale. Special arrangements will not be made. If you have any questions please contact the office at 529-1390.

4-H Horse Committee will be holding a Horse Clinic on Saturday, April 12th from 9:00A.M. to 12:00 noon at the Box T Ranch.
They will be having sessions on bits, tack, helmets, horse health and horse show/arena etiquette.There will also be a Tack/Equipment Sale in conjunction with the clinic.

4-H Citizenship Through Community Pride

The Idaho 4-H Know Your Government Conference provides 4-H members in the 8th and 9th grades a state level opportunity for furthering the objectives of Community Pride.


Delegates will participate in legislative or judicial workshops and:

  • Learn how the state government decision-making process works
  • Learn how teens can participate politically to influence state government
  • Learn how the state judicial system works
  • Learn what is involved in bringing a case to court
  • Observe the legislative process in action
  • Meet and share ideas with legislators, judges, and other elected officials
  • Have breakfast with legislators and judges

Action to improve communities requires knowledge of government and how it works. Join 4-H’ers from across the state to see our government in action.

Call the office for an application. Applications are due by December 20, 2013.
