Cooking with Whole Grains
Learn how to identify whole grains and how to prepare and use them in your diet. Foods will include both side and main dishes. There will be lots of tasting, so come hungry! Date: January 16, 2014. Cost: $12.00
Artisan Breads Using Ancient Grains
Learn to make whole grain breads from stored high-moisture dough using Ancient grains. Bring a 3-4 quart container for mixing dough; this is a hands-on workshop. You will have 3 loaves of bread to bake when you leave. Learn new recipes and ideas for Artisan bread so you can eat “half your grains whole.” Date: January 22. Cost: FREE (in honor of the University of Idaho’s 125thBirthday Celebration). Registration is required as enrollment is limited.

Learn to make whole grain breads from stored high-moisture dough. Learn new recipes and ideas for Artisan bread so you can eat “half your grains whole.” Date: January 30, 2014. Cost: $12.00
Whole Grain Gluten-Free Baking
Learn about cooking a gluten-free diet and the nutritional implications of eating gluten-free. There will be some hands-on food preparation, as well as tips, suggestions, and a tasting of homemade food using gluten-free flours. Date: February 13, 2014. Cost: $12.00
This program is a hands-on way to make positive changes to help you eat better, move more, and improve your general health and well being. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Classes begin January 8, 2014. Enrollment is limited, so register early!
This eight week program is held using a “non-meeting” format. Email tips for healthy living will be sent to you each week. The program is FREE, but we would like to hear from you in regard to your progress and success using this program. Classes begin January 7, 2014.
